Mexican Lodge Swingin' Steaks Restaurant, Mexican Hat
Mexican Hat Lodge
Since this was the only place to eat in town I went along. The steak was good and the side dishes were fine. A bit pricey but watching the swinging steak chef made up for it. To watch the guy on the grill is a show, the waitress was very friendly and the food was great, too. I think this was one of the only places to eat dinner in the town. The menu itself was extremely limited- you better like steak which I don't. I ordered the hamburger, which is literally a piece of hamburger meat
The swinging grill on which the steaks and toast are cooked is a great show - I had never seen anything like it and was filled with anticipation for a great steak dinner. Unfortunately everything else about the experience here was a disappointment - especially the meal. There were three people in our party and we each asked for our steaks to be cooked at a different temperature - yet when we got our steaks they were ALL cooked exactly the same "medium". In addition, the steaks were very bland, no seasoning and had no flavor to them what so ever! Mediocre is the best adjective to describe these steaks.
